What was the highlight of Phi Phi Holiday Resort

If you want to experience the beaches of Phi Phi away from the town this is the place to stay.

Location is incredible. Beautiful and quiet beach with lots of loungers provided, being able to view both the sun set and sun rise from the hotel is fantastic. You can still get picked up from this area for private or group day trips to Phi Phi Leh and other islands either through get your guide or the hotel. The rooms are very nice and clean. Facilities are fine, nothing spectacular but perfectly reasonable. Breakfast was good.

Some of the plug sockets in the room did not work. The food is pretty basic and naturally overpriced given it is hotel food and it doesn’t claim to be truly authentic but given the price you may hope it to be better. There are restaurants and convenience shops in the area that offer better options. But you’re not really coming to this hotel for authentic food, you’re coming for the beach.

Wonderful

Out-off-this world Beautiful location on Phi Phi island. The resort is very nice and the staff is super friendly and helpful. On the beach next to the resort are several cosy restaurants and bars if you don’t feel like eating at the resort.

Wonderful

Incredible beach. Long, the clearest of clear waters, some fish. Bars available, conveniently along the beach and lots of pools especially for the kids. The breakfast is great as well, staff are very helpful in organizing transfers and day trips. The sunsets at the sunset bar and pool area are incredible.

We are a family of 4 with two kids and stayed in the family room. This is essentially just two regular rooms connected through a door. While we enjoyed plenty of space, we certainly would book a different room category the next time round. Our view was that of other buildings, not even having a garden view. Given that we spent just under 400 Euros a night, this is not the value for money one expects at such rates. These rooms are tucked away quite far on the western part of the hotel. The little houses however, whether in the vegetation or along the beach, looked much nicer and had a significantly more beautiful setting.

Definitely would re book

Beautiful setting, multiple pools, breakfast had a huge variety, staff were friendly and helpful. Good location to access island hops.

The hotel didn't warn us that it was not accessible via car so unexpectedly we had to take a long tail boat to the hotel which is at your expense. Be warned the speed boat taxi back to krabi that is facilitated by the hotel is very expensive at 1700 baht per person, we had not factored in this additional expense.

Beautiful beach

It’s so beautiful. Room right in the beach was great. And off the shore snorkelling on the hotel stretch of beach which doesn’t have the tractors carrying cases going up and down

Incident with a wet cleaning rag left on my clothes in the room and I felt they could have done more to apologise. And I didn’t feel like they had much autonomy to fix or understanding of how to respond. Sunset bar was great but staff seemed stressed. I didn’t use other cafes/restaurants/spas because everything else on the beach was lovely and much better prices. It was like they didn’t want ppl to eat in. When they refurb it would make sense to access outside shower not through the room …

If you are looking for a quiet escape, this is a great place to stay. Just needs a bit of love!

We stayed in the sunset pool villa for our honeymoon. It was very quiet and the pool and room were a reasonable size. The buggy service was very quick and reliable to get to and from our room to the main lobby area. The beach around the hotel was beautiful. We also really liked having a cocktail at the monkey bar.

Air conditioner was infrequently working. The resort is quite isolated and after four nights we did get bored of the restaurant options around the area. The activities staff organised two day trips to us but long boat and speedboat are your only options to get anywhere and it’s a half an hour each way trip to Tonsai. This worked for us as we wanted to be away from the main hustle and bustle but might not appeal to others. We went snorkelling one of the days to Koh Phi Phi Leh but one of the snorkels we were given had a leak and was unusable. The boat driver was excellent however and the activities team organised the day for us very easily. Even though we were paying premium for our room, it does need a lot of love and care. The pool deck is slowly falling apart which is creating a safety hazard and the tiles around the pool are starting to move.

A lovely experience

It was the second time for me, it is my little secret paradise. I love the place to be quiet when you see the rest of Phi Phi to be crazy busy. The beach is amazing.

A bit hard to access the family room uphill but the buggies were quick to get

Great location/activities/ transportation logistics. The food was good as well.

It wasn’t very clean in our room (dust/stains/hair on bed). Some staff were rude to us and not client oriented at the lobby mainly. Most of the staff were nice though.

Good stay but not perfect

Hotel is located in beautiful place with access to the sea, multiple pools and tasty breakfast

Location of our room and that it wasn’t worth to pay more for room with private pool. Our room was located far away from the beachfront, we had to walk uphill multiple times. Apart from that our yard was full of trees, so pool was always dirty and we didn’t have a chance to take a sunbath. We even saw a snake there so we haven’t use it even once. I would prefer to stay in regular room, downhill.

A relaxing stay in a nice quiet resort.

Location was nice and quiet. We took a “taxi” at the South end of the resort and hiked to Nui beach which was wonderful.

Upkeep on property is a little lacking. Bathroom was dirty when we arrived.

Overall we enjoyed our stay at phi phi holiday resort.

It has 3 swimming pools but we had time to use only the infinity pool next to the beach. The rooms are kept clean everyday. The staff are helpful. And they have water activities or island hopping options according to your budget. It was a serene feeling to witness the sunrise and sunset at the resort.

While the staff were really helpful but one of them was way too helpful suggesting us and coordinating to book a private long tail or speedboat as a side business! We enquired further and found the best rate and private long tail tour with the hotel! That was the only shady thing! Also, the island has lots of mosquitoes!! It’s on the northern side of phi phi island so the food options are less.. we found only Italian, American & Thai cuisines.

Nice enough

Beautiful beach, nice swimming pools, nice food, very nice rooms if you upgrade to more expensive ones. Well organised trips around the island. Lovely spa. Very nice breakfast if you are not vegan.

The pool and bar are are only open till 7pm which is early considering you cannot access the rest of the island easily. You need to book the sunset restaurant at least a day in advance as it has only 10 tables apparently. The pictures of the rooms do not give them justice, the less expensive rooms which in our case were 9000 baht per night need a good touch up, so not a good value for money. Transfer to and back is also expensive.

It was a very good stay overall, good to take in advantage of all the amenities and facilities provided to us on our sta

The amenities were all very close by, never needed for anything and the swimming pools and beach were right outside your door

The room we were provided initially, the back door was broken and would get mosquito bites during the night. One night the dinner we got at Jimmy’s cafe, it was served cold to us.
